Announcing our annual Concerto Competition open to members of Tallahassee Youth Orchestras. The winner will be determined by audition before a panel of three distinguished judges drawn from the Tallahassee area and will perform his or her concerto with TYO Symphony Orchestra on the May 5, 2024 concert.
 

• Auditions for Concerto Competition will be held the afternoon of Saturday, January 20

• Students may audition on an instrument other than that which the student plays in TYO, such as piano or voice

• An audition fee of $20 will be assessed

• Advance approval of student’s audition piece must be given by Music Director

• Performances are limited to one movement of multi-movement works

• The audition applications is available below

• Audition application must be submitted by Sunday, December 17th, 2023

• Auditioning students must be fully registered as a TYO member no later than January 7, 2024

• Students who placed first in previous years may not participate a second time

• The decision of the judges is final
