TYO Mission

To play a vigorous role in the cultural fabric of our community by providing a capstone orchestral experience for young musicians.

This goal is for all musically inclined students throughout Northern Florida and Southern Georgia. 

This mission is met through encouraging fine orchestral and individual performances; by cultivating in students an awareness of various musical forms and styles; by establishing an environment where the young musician will have the opportunity to develop and extend creative ability, self-expression, and the desire for perfection; and by fostering self-confidence and a sense of accomplishment in each of our participants.  

Further, the TYO seeks to strengthen the Tallahassee community through outreach projects and participation in civic events, and by building community partnerships.
